Eden Sky Orion works with astrology as a way of noticing patterns: timing, cycles, and emotional shifts and using them to understand how to move through decisions in everyday life. Across Eden’s work, timing becomes a practical tool. A way of deciding when to act, when to pause and when something simply isn’t ready yet.
I always check the cosmic timing. If something is not moving I take it as information rather than resistance.
What do you do?
I always have trouble with labels (thanks to my Aquarius moon,) Most days I feel my work is to be a vessel for more presence love and magic in the world and that takes many forms.
What is one thing most people do not know about you?
I LOVE grunge rock music. I have a very strong slightly angry inner teenager part who wants to scream and whip her hair at all times.
How has your work evolved since you first started out?
It’s always evolving. When I started teaching Pilates 10 years ago I honestly never expected wellness/spirituality/entrepreneurship to become my full time work. What’s stayed steady throughout the many evolutions of my work is that I continue following this inner voice who points me towards purpose, meaning, and service. Not towards what is practical haha. In my work (and whole life) I feel like I’m listening and following directions from the heart. How it looks on the outside continues to change and evolve.
What is your creative process like?
My creative process is very spirit-led. Whether I’m writing about astrology or working with a client or teaching a group meditation, I see my work as a prayer. Art placed on the altar of life. I usually get into a flow state that exists somewhere between my knowledge/training and the prayer to be a pure channel for whoever is in front of me.
How do you navigate setbacks or low energy periods?
Call my sister. Check what’s happening in the stars, or where I’m at in my cycle. If there’s one thing astrology continues to remind me it’s that all timing is divine timing. If I’m not feeling motivated, or if something doesn’t work out, I fully and wholeheartedly believe that I’ll have the energy when it’s time to do the thing, that rejection is divine protection, and things work when it’s the right time.
Tell us about your journey how did you get to where you are today?
The biggest one is definitely being sick in my teenage years. When I was 15 I moved to NYC to train full time at a ballet school. I was set on my dream of being a ballet dancer coming to life, and that was very quickly interrupted with repeated knee dislocations, and a very confusing and dramatic journey with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). I had envisioned my path as very set since I was young, ballet is a pretty structured career and the plan and my vision kind of all came crashing down then. It sent me on this incredibly deep, rich, and difficult path of healing, mind, body and spirit that is literally the foundation of everything I do today.
What’s one resource, tool, or book you’d recommend to every woman in this community?
Well my easy answer is The Bible, aka Women Who Run With the Wolves. To me that book IS a holy text. Anytime I’m engaging with it I feel how alive it is, not just words on a page but this living breathing entity of it’s own. Endless inspiration there.
Across Eden’s work, timing is shaped by checking in and letting outcomes take shape in their own time.
